The workshop is designed for students, wishing to work in the realist tradition, of all levels of experience -- although some background in painting is desirable. This is a 10-day course spread over a two-week period during which the students will complete a small still life. Each student will be assigned an individual space in which to work on his own set-up. The course will be limited to 10 students who will receive individual instruction daily on composition, drawing and painting.
Tuition is $1000.00, which includes a designated working space, easel, lights, and full use of the well-equipped studio. For students wishing to take only one week of the course, the tuition is $600.00. Students should bring their own painting supplies and still-life props which may be left in their space for the duration of the class. A list of recommended materials will be provided upon enrollment. A $600 deposit is required to reserve a spot, the remainder to be paid on the first day of class.
